Day 8

Another huge yummy breakfast buffet here.  Every dish you could imagine, both good and bad.  Eggs, bacon, sweet rolls, soupy squid, fried rice and noodles, danishes, pancakes, beef brisket, cheeses, fruits, steamed buns (my favorite), hot pot dishes, smoothies, the list goes on.  All of our regular dishes, omelet bars, Chinese dishes, sandwiches, dinner dishes, sushi, soups, fermented eggs and then things that I am even a bit scared to walk by, much less eat.  I have never eaten so much in my life for breakfast as I am on this trip.

We met our new guide, Kelly, in the lobby and she took us to our children's medical appointments. It was a hot, stuffy madhouse of crying children and newly formed families and some locals. We checked in, had Phoebe's picture taken for her file, then went through medical exam stations. She hated it. She cried and reached for me or Micki, so scared.

We went shopping after to another Walmart for supplies for the week and had lunch.  A 3 story mall was attached and we wandered around for awhile before heading back to the hotel for the rest of the day.  I had a short meeting with Kelly to go over some forms for our upcoming U.S. Consulate appointment on Wednesday.  Phoebe is napping now and whens she wakes, we plan to explore the hotel.  There are many stores and restaurants attached to and within the hotel and a bunch close by as well.  It is thunderstorming and downpouring now.  We hope it ends as we have a day of sightseeing and shopping planned tomorrow.
