I'm so lucky. This is the little girl I get to wake to every single day.
Today we visited the Tengwang Pavillion which is very close to our hotel. The building, which is gorgeous, was built by a son of the emperor during the Tang Dynasty in 653 AD. It is a symbol of Nanchang and the locals here are very proud of this amazing structure. Inside was just as beautiful, as were the grounds around it. It is located along the shore of the Kan River and a small garden runs along one side.
Indoors was just as stunning. We got to see a short show with a dancer, a soloist and a 4 people playing instruments. Very pretty, but loud and too warm and woke Phoebe from her nap in the Ergo.
Michael took us to another great restaurant within walking distance for lunch and ordered us a ton of spicy plates again. And again, did not join us, just watched us eat. "Too hot!"
We leave Nanchang tomorrow. I am a little sad to be taking Phoebe away from her home province. There is a woman here somewhere who is her birth mother.
We catch a plane tomorrow evening for Guangzhou. One more week! We desperately miss our children, Cassidy, Maclean, Alec, Kai, Taylor. We ache to hug and kiss them. But we are also soaking up every second here in China and are in no way ready to rush our way to the end.
That is so funny that Michael does not eat with you because the food is too spicy. Our guide would not eat with us because she likes her food really spicy. What she ordered for us was only a little spicy.
